Ms Mary JO Ortega is a female Oral Health Therapist.
Mary graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2020. Her degree allows her to practice both dental hygiene and dental therapy.
After graduating, Mary worked at Bee Healthy Regional Dental Service where she provided free dental care to children from birth to year 8. This included comprehensive dental examination, preventive, and restorative treatments.
As an oral health therapist, she is passionate about helping patients to achieve healthy gums and teeth by providing oral hygiene advice and individualised treatments. She is especially interested in preventive dentistry and believes that optimal oral health can be achieved by educating and empowering her patients.
