Ms Elena Martinez is a female Dental Hygienist.
Elena is a graduate of the University of Otago Dental School. She has been working in the dental care since 1999.
With a warm and empathetic attitude and a very bubbly personality she endears herself to everyone. Her patients call her "the gentle hygienist".
Throughout her career she has generally worked in family dental clinics. This has allowed her to gain a valuable experience in the treatment of active gum disease as well the maintenance of stable gums health. She believes prevention is the paramount step for good oral health and she is focussed on educating and motivating her patients to perform a good level of home care.
She has also spent several years in a Specialist Periodontist's clinic where she gained a valuable experience in the treatment of more advanced cases of gum disease. This experience allows her to be able to help patients with severe gum disease.
Elena is actively involved in improving oral health in our community and volunteers with oral health promotion in the local schools and hospitals as she believes that a good oral health is the foundation of a good general health.
Elena annually attends seminars and conferences for advancing her education in the field and keeps current and informed with the latest research and dental innovations. She has a great passion for achieving improvement with her clients and works on specific desired goals at client's pace.
She is a very valuable team member to our practice both for her hard work and the positive energy her personality injects into the team on daily basis.
