Dr Shirley Wan is a female General Dentist who speaks Cantonese and Mandarin (as well as English).
I started in the dental industry almost a decade ago as a dental nurse. It sparked my interest and passion for dentistry and led me to embark on a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Otago.
I have grown up in Auckland and have worked alongside many pioneering dentists and specialists in my career. I feel very blessed to be able to have a job that is as much a passion as it is a career. It brings me joy to provide treatment of a high quality and I aim to establish long term care for all our patients.
I have special interest in the fields of orthodontics as well as prosthodontics. The importance of planning for success is emphasised in my work and I am a firm believer that prevention is better than cure. As our patients receive the highest standard of care, it is essential to participate in leading dental research hence continued professional education and development is of value to me.
I often travel to overseas conferences to gather the latest knowledge in dentistry to remain highly skilled in my profession. In my spare time I love exploring other countries with my husband and am an avid reader. I look forward to meeting each of you.
