Dr Alex Wu is a male General Dentist.
Dr Alex grew up in Christchurch and is passionate about providing gentle and patient-centred dentistry. He prides himself in treating all patients with utmost care and seeing them leave with a smile after every visit.
Alex believes regular check-ups are the best possible care you can give your teeth to prevent diseases in the mouth, however, visiting the dentists is definitely not on the top of most people's bucket list – and he totally understands that feeling! That is why Alex makes it his goal to ensure your visit is as pleasant and straightforward as possible.
Alex’s focus is to get you out of any teeth-related discomfort quickly and painlessly. He strives to ensure all his patients have a clear understanding of what is happening with their teeth and how to go forward together with a plan to maintain his patient’s oral health to keep them smiling always.
Alex’s comprehensive education portfolio includes a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) as well as a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (BBiomedSc) from the University of Otago. He has been invited as 1 of 2 representatives from New Zealand for the 2018 IDEM International Conference held in Singapore. He was also invited as a seminar presenter for young dentists at the 2021 APDSA International Seminar. Alex’s special interests are in oral surgery and dental implants, and has completed a full year implantology course held in Gisborne.
