Dr Sophia IL Mahendran is a female General Dentist.
Dr Sophia Lee Mahendran is a gentle, caring clinician who focuses on delivering quality dental care to patients using the latest dental technology, materials and methods. She has great joy in providing dental treatments that contribute to positsive outcomes in her patients' lives. Sophia's skills in general dentistry enables her to provide all facets of care to her patients including restorative and cosmetic dentistry, emergency dentistry and endodontics (root canal treatment).
Sophia grew up in Torbay on Auckland's North Shore and returned home after completing her Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Credit at the University of Otago. Her constant drive for clinical excellence sees her invited to continuing professional courses both in New Zealand and abroad. She was hand-picked for this practice simply for her ability to provide precision, gentle dental excellence and works closely in conjunction with Dr. Clarence Tam.
She has a keen interest in providing charity dental treatment abroad, and has led dental teams in remote parts of Cambodia and the Philippines providing pro bono restorative and surgical dental services to vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.
Sophia is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association, Auckland Dental Association and the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
