Dr Mark N Pinkerton is a male Specialist Orthodontist.
Mark attended high school at McClean’s College in East Auckland. After leaving high school he completed a Science Degree at The University of Auckland. He then decided to pursue a career in dentistry at the University of Otago. After graduating with a Bachelor of Dental surgery (BDS), he worked as a dental house surgeon at Dunedin Public Hospital for a year prior to entering private practice in Auckland. His career changed direction when he decided to follow the oral and maxillofacial surgeon training pathway. A prerequisite for this was a medical Degree. Towards the end of his medical degree at The University of Auckland he was accepted in to the University of Otago Clinical Doctorate program in Orthodontics. These days Mark divides his time as a specialist orthodontist between TOG and Middlemore Hospital Craniofacial Unit. Mark also chairs the education and research development group (ERDG), which is a branch of the New Zealand Orthodontic Association (NZAO). Mark enjoys living in Auckland, where he is close to his family and friends. He uses martial arts as way to stay fit and healthy.
