Dr James Philpott is both the owner and senior clinician at Dentalcare West, one of Auckland's largest and oldest dental practices. He currently treats a large number of loyal patients with particular experience in dealing with complex orthodontic and implant restoration cases.
Dr James was born in Palmerston North where he grew up. After completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Dunedin and graduating with distinction, Dr James worked in both hospital and general practice dental settings in the deep south, before moving to Auckland over 12 years ago.
Dr James is very passionate about teeth, smiles, dentistry, but most importantly his patients. He enjoys treating his patients with the greatest of care and discussing with them all the available options, so that together they can make the best decisions for their oral health. All his patients know that they can ask as many questions as they like so they can have full understanding about their smiles. He also believes pain free dentistry is very important.
Dr James treats the clinics All-On-4 patients with the most advanced surgical care and techniques. He also teaches and assists in training and education in New Zealand for dentists wanting to learn more about dental implant surgery.
