Dr Han Joon Choi is a male .
Dr Han Choi is a fully registered Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr Choi graduated from dentistry (BDS, with credit) at University of Otago in 2004. He then moved to Kenepuru Hospital in Wellington for a year to work as a house surgeon. Following this he worked in a private dental practice in Auckland for a year.
His long journey to become an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon started in 2007 when he successfully gained entry to the conjoint programme at the University of Otago, which involved a medical degree (MBChB), master degree (MDS) and residency training in Dunedin Public Hospital. He completed the programme in 2011 with top achievement gaining a distinction award in MDS (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery).
Dr Choi moved back to Auckland in 2011 and resides in the North Shore where he grew up. At the end of 2011 he began to work part-time as a surgeon at NSOMS. During this period, he also worked at North Shore Hospital and Middlemore Hospital- gaining further experience in general medicine and other surgical specialties.
At the end of 2013 Dr Choi came on board to join our practice full-time. He has a special interest in dental implant treatment including full mouth rehabilitation, using All-on-4™ concept and Zygoma implants, and various bone grafting procedures.
