Dr Emma K Wilkinson is a female General Dentist.
Emma joined youDENTAL in January 2023 and brings a dynamic background to the team.
In her second year of a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, she was accepted into the Undergraduate Sponsorship Scheme with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). After graduating, she enjoyed a Dental Officer role for the Australian Defence Force.
Military life provided Emma with many exciting opportunities, including working for a Minister in Parliament House while studying for her Masters. As the Officer-in-Charge of a humanitarian mission in Mongolia and a deployment to Afghanistan as a Staff Officer in 2017, Emma gained remarkable experience and honed her skills in restorative dentistry.
Emma has excellent leadership qualities, which she puts into practice every day. In 2021 she completed a Master of Public Leadership and Policy at the University of NSW. As a lifelong learner, she is also set to complete a Graduate Diploma in Forensic Odontology in 2023.
Recognising that a dental visit can be nerve-wracking, Emma’s goal is to create a ‘happy environment’ using music to help people relax. She believes a job well done is when a patient feels empowered about their oral health journey.
