Darryl Violich spent 20 years in general dental practice in rural New Zealand before undertaking postgraduate study at the University of Otago completing a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Endodontics) in 2007. He is passionate about dentistry and endodontics in particular as he recognises this discipline is dedicated to retaining natural teeth. It is his firm belief that there are no real substitutes to natural teeth both for function and aesthetics. His dedication and commitment to providing excellent specialist dental care is well known, many patients coming to see him from as far as Hawkes Bay and South Waikato. Darryl Violich is the first and only endodontist in the Bay of Plenty.
