Dr Caitlin M Agnew is a female Specialist Paediatric Dentist.
Caitlin completed her BDS in Otago, followed by working for the Auckland District health Board (ADHB) for two years as a maxillo-facial and dental house surgeon. After two years in private practice and a passion for Paediatric Dentistry, she moved to Sydney where she was employed as a Paediatric dental registrar for 3 years at the Sydney Children’s hospital and at the Westmead Centre for Oral health. She completed her DClinDent through the University of Sydney and is a member of the Royal college of dental surgeons, in her speciality. Caitlin holds the vice-president appointment for the Australasian Academy of Paediatric dentistry. She currently works part-time in private practice and part-time at Starship Children’s hospital. Her main interests include paediatric oral surgery and providing care for children with special needs, dental anomalies and enamel defects. Caitlin’s current research ventures include: investigating paediatric oral pathology in a large tertiary referral centre, investigating the family impact of child orofacial cleft and the effectiveness of oral health promotion interventions during adolescence: a systematic review and meta-analysis. She is currently part of the research team at the Starship Children’s Hospital investigating the Validation of a Respiratory Checklist for children with Cerebral Palsy in New Zealand.
